38 week checkup (Full Term)

The doctor is calling her "Flipper". A few weeks ago, she was transverse (sideways, with her backside down), so I did my rear-end-in-the-air exercises and she got into the correct head down position. But now, she's back upright, with one foot sticking down into my pelvis - called a "footling breech" presentation. Her head is underneath my right ribs, and her back is under my left ribs. I'm back to doing my exercises to try and get her to turn the right way again, but if she isn't head down by my next doctor's appointment we're going to have a baby a week earlier than we thought. Luckily, she is still strong and healthy with a good steady heartbeat and good weight, so I'm trying not to get too stressed out about things. Everyone please just think good "upside down" thoughts in our direction!

It's the last week of the year...

I hope everyone had a very merry and festive holiday weekend! I know we did - but we may never need to eat again! We ate like kings all weekend, and we'll be living off leftovers until next year... I think that's the best part of the holidays. Here's the Cranberry Apple (Crapple) Pie I made for the Coles' Christmas Eve dinner - Mike says it was delicious but for some reason the bottom crust was a little soggy this time. Guess I need to make another one to make up for it! I also made a Dark Chocolate Bundt Cake with Kahlua Cream - I thought it was delicious, even if I did find the recipe on the internet and it called for a boxed cake mix! I'm going to have to remember it.

My paperwhite narcissus bulbs are blooming like crazy - I keep them on the front porch because frankly they stink and make me sneeze, but I think they are very pretty. I brought them in to take a picture of them and they made the whole room smell, so I think next year I'll try the red amaryllis bulbs.

And finally, I managed to get my husband in the same place as me long enough to get a picture! Unfortunately, I didn't realize I looked so TIRED! But, here you go - (as always, click on the image for a larger photo)

We opened all the mysterious boxes from the family last night, and let me tell you we were blown away by the amazing gifts we received. Our little girl is lucky to have such a wonderful and generous extended family! (And I'm incredibly grateful for such a great set of in-laws!) Everything was so great and thoughtful, but I have to say that by far the best gift was the one Mike's mom sent to him. It really took his breath away and rendered him speechless - he was extremely touched.

Christmastime!

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend with family and friends and some relaxation. Mike will be working on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (as usual) so we don't have much planned, but we'll be having dinner with our friends and opening all the boxes from our family that are piled up on the counter! My main goal this weekend is to get a picture of me and Mike together and looking decent so I can post it on this blog. Wish me luck!

37 Weeks

Just got back from our 37 week checkup - Everything still looks fine and now she's actually measuring 37 weeks! I asked how it would be possible that she would go from measuring so big to measuring just right, and he said she probably got tired of everyone saying she was fat! In reality though, I think she's just running out of room in there. But I am 0 cm dilated and 0% effaced, so she's obviously not ready to come out just yet! Only 3 weeks to go (I hope!)

Baby Gymnastics

As of yesterday, we are now on a once-a-week schedule of doctor visits. She could be here any day now!! Luckily, at yesterday's visit the doctor informed me that she is now head down for delivery. Mike and I have been doing exercises to get her to turn (mostly me, there's not much Mike can do about it!), and while it looks ridiculous, it appears that it worked! Basically it consists of me with my rear end in the air for 20-30 minutes every night, and we used headphones with disco music (her favorite) to convince her to put her head in the right spot. So, crazy and weird, but it works! I'm going to keep doing it so that she stays in position until she drops, but I've put some classical music on the ipod to use instead. (Mike is pretty embarassed that his daughter already likes disco and Queen - she really rocks out when they come on the radio!) What can I say...she's her mama's girl. Not much else to report right now - at this point its just a waiting game to see when her birthday is going to be. We have about 28 days until her actual due date, so its still pretty early, but we're completely packed for the hospital, have the carseat installed, and ready for any surprises. I'll let you know how it goes!

5 weeks to go...

Okay, I'm starting to get tired of lugging all this baby around! It really feels like she's gained 20 pounds in the past week. I can't get comfortable enough to sleep at night, and I walk slower than the snowbirds at Target! Here's a picture Mike took of me on Monday, looking huge and squinty (it was a very sunny day):

Notice the Thanksgiving wreath on the door (I put the Christmas one up yesterday).

And look at all the progress Mike has made on the bathroom!

Okay, I don't know why this picture makes it look like the tiles aren't level with each other, but they really are. If you click on the photo it will show you a larger image that looks a lot better. He has done a really great job so far - better than any contractors around here would do. All he has left to do is cut and set the rest of the tiles, grout, seal, and install the fixtures and I'll finally be able to take a hot bath! I swear, I really lucked out when I married him - he's so handy!

Other than that, there's not really much going on around here this week - I have my Anatomy/Physiology final tomorrow that I should be studying for right now, and Christmas cards to get sent out, and uniforms to wash and iron, so I'll talk to you again later!

Childbirth Class

So yesterday was the Childbirth class - much to Mike's chagrin! Poor guy - he had to sit in a classroom with 11 other couples from 9am - 6pm, going through all the birth videos, breathing exercises and relaxation stuff. Needless to say, he would rather have been ANYWHERE else! But, we got through it and we had a good time, especially during the relaxation exercise... the lights were off, we were all supposed to be taking deep calming breaths and relaxing on the floor, and all I could do was crack up laughing at how miserable he was! It's very embarrassing to be the couple who can't follow directions - especially when all you have to do is lay there quietly! But that's okay - I hope we laugh together as much during the actual labor. And he really did learn a lot about the stages of labor and the different techniques for handling each phase. Plus we got demonstrations of all the different medical tools that might come into play, and we had a tour of where our little girl will be introduced to the world. And we got a lot of free samples and coupons, so that's a plus. So now I think we really are ready for her to get here - all we have left to do is pack the bag for the hospital!
Well, we're not totally ready - she still needs to turn and get in the right position, but I learned some exercises I can do to get her motivated in that direction. So once she does that, THEN we'll be ready. 38 days to go!

6 weeks to go...

Well, today was our 34 week checkup, and everything looks good... We got confirmation that she is still a she, and she is weighing in at 6 pounds already! At this rate, she could be 10 pounds at birth - yikes! We got measurements of all her parts, and everything looks absolutely fine - she's in a transverse position right now, which means her head is at the left side of my belly, and her butt is at the right side - which explains why she's been kicking and punching all over the place! The doc says she should turn to the right position in the next couple of weeks. I have another appointment in 2 weeks, and then we go to 1 every week until she's here (I can't believe how time has flown by!) I went to Target today and picked up a few more essentials, so I feel like we're finally prepared for her to get here - well, as prepared as we can be.

Ready for a couple pics of me? Sorry they're still kinda blurry - I don't think I'll ever get the hang of self portraits. And of course every time I feel like taking a picture, Mike's at work! And when he's home, I'm usually dressed in sweats and a ponytail...NOT a good time for pictures.

Here I am pointing the baby's head at you:
And here's her butt end:

There's a couple more pictures on my Flickr site from Thanksgiving and today if you're interested - talk to you again soon!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, Mike had a week's vacation time to kill, so he tackled a few projects around the house. Here he is working on re-tiling our guest bathroom tub.... So far he hasn't gotten much further than this stage, but it's coming along! Up until Tuesday, it was just bare studs and insulation in there.

And as I was trying to clean house and get ready for our Thanksgiving guests, my entire family conspired against my efforts to vacuum!

But, eventually I was able to finish cleaning house and cooking, and the Coles came to join us for dinner. Keira says Hi!

And as usual, between Kelley and myself we went WAY overboard with the cooking:

This is just a sampling of the desserts - altogether we made 5 pies and a bundt cake. For 6 people!

Next doctor's appointment is Monday - I'll let you all know how it goes. I hope everyone had a wonderful and bountiful Thanksgiving!

8 weeks and counting...

Well, our 32 week checkup was yesterday, and everything still looks fine! Blood pressure is still great, weight gain is still normal, baby is still active and making her presence known 24/7 - you can see my belly moving from across the room when she really gets going! My fundal height has increased to 35 centimeters though, which means that now I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead instead of 2. I talked to the doctor about it, and he said it is probably nothing to worry about. We're scheduled for a quick ultrasound at the next appointment (November 27th), and he'll be able to tell if the baby is big or if it's just me :) Hopefully we'll be able to get 100% confirmation that it's a girl, too - I could only get him to commit to 80% certainty at the last ultrasound. And I've only got 8 more weeks to swap all the pink stuff out for blue if I need to!

I still haven't completely finished the nursery, but I did take a few pictures for your viewing pleasure:
Our dear friend Mike Mason in Albuquerque sent us the Papasan Swing! Thank you Mason!

Uncle Rick and Uncle Mark sent Eeyore and Tigger to keep watch over the crib until the baby gets here!

Our baby will obviously not lack visual stimulation! Notice also the very cool video camera mounted above the crib - I'll be able to see AND hear her! (Don't worry, I will hide the cord better than that - and I know the stuffed animals can't stay in there!)

Here's the changing table - note how organized it appears right now. I know it won't last!

And finally, dig the rocking chair and ottoman I got for a cool 30 bucks at a yard sale across the street from our house! Cheap AND convenient - awesome!

Okay, enough pictures for now - maybe when Mike gets home from work in the morning I can convince him to take some pictures of me for you.

The baby shower!!

Well, yesterday was the baby shower, and it was GREAT! We got a cribload of gifts, as seen here:
The ice cream cake was delicious, even if it was just one big congratulation from everyone:And looking at my camera today, I find that I have about 100 pictures very similar to these two:Mike's mom made that blanket!

Its the nesting baskets! With a ribbiting frog and a pink duck inside them!

But, after watching me open all the presents and hearing everyone ooh and aah over them, even Kelley's daughter Keira was bored:

But all in all we had a really great time. The food was excellent, the friends were hysterical as usual, and the gifts were a great perk! We got almost everything on the cloth diaper registry, plus some surprise Fuzzibunz from Todd and Holly! Those will be our fancy 'go to town' diapers. (Or the ones we use when our friends babysit!) They are all a bit skeptical about the cloth diapering idea, I think. We got a bunch of stuff from the Target registry too, as well as very lovely items that I didn't even think to register for! The nursery furniture came in yesterday too, so Mike and I spent the morning putting it all together - let me tell you, it was like an episode of I Love Lucy! He decided to put the crib together in the living room where we had more room to work, and we got it all together with very few mishaps. Then we went to carry it into the baby's room, only to find that DUH it won't fit through the door. So now we're well practiced in taking it apart and putting it back together, should the need ever arise. But after that, we got the changing table put together and in place, so I've been spending most of the day unpacking gifts and baby clothes and cloth diapers and getting everything all set up neatly and organized. Of course I know that won't last after the baby's born - I completely foresee living out of laundry baskets within 3 weeks. As soon as I finish getting everything completely neat and tidy, I'll take a few pictures or a video of her room so you can see how girly it is. If you would like to see ALL the baby shower pictures, go to my Flickr Site!

Update

We had our 30 week checkup this morning, and Dr. Lewis says everything looks just fine. My fundal height is still measuring 2 weeks ahead (I'm at 32 cm) but he says its nothing to worry about. Now we start going to see him every 2 weeks until she is born. Only 10 more weeks to go! She's still keeping me up every night with her acrobatics, and has gotten big enough that when her feet engage with my ribs, it definitely gets my attention! But other than needing a nap or two during the day, I am feeling just fine - no back pain, no fat ankles, just a little heartburn in the evenings. (knock on wood) I am walking a little slower though, so I have to leave for class a few minutes earlier just to get there on time. (And sitting through my boring Psychology lecture is getting more and more uncomfortable!) We're pre-registered at the hospital for the delivery, and we go to the childbirth class on December 2nd. We finally ordered the nursery furniture, and it should be here by next week - once I get her room set up, I will be sure to send pictures. We've also received a few boxes in the mail, but Mike won't let me open any of them until the shower, so I'll just say a preliminary thank you to everyone!
Well, I can't think of much else to say right now, but if anything comes up I promise to let you know!

PS Pictures to come!

Random Thoughts

So, its Friday night and I'm supposed to be working on the baby's room but that's tedious and boring so I'll do it tomorrow (maybe). Or maybe I'll do it Sunday because tomorrow I get to go buy a new dishwasher! And order the furniture for her room! And have lunch and a movie with the girls! So I'll be pretty busy. (Could I possibly be more domestic & boring? Just wait until I'm telling you all about diapers and feeding schedules) Oh and we're also going to a party at an agent's house tomorrow night, so I need to find time to make these: Halloween Petits Fours - because they're just so cute! And they look like they might actually taste good, too. We'll see. Hmm.. what else? Boxes are coming in every day for the baby shower, but Mike won't let me open them yet, so it's just a pile of mysteries by the front door. I can't think of much else right now, and I'm pretty much boring myself, and I have an episode of Heroes on the tivo beckoning me, so I think I'll sign off...

Home alone

So, Mike's in Tucson for two days for some anti-terrorism training. Lucky guy - he called me a minute ago saying that he just had the most delicious sushi lunch. Jerk! He knows I'm not allowed to eat sushi anyway so I guess its best he went without me. But that's okay - since he's not here I can eat ice cream and popcorn for dinner :)

Went to San Diego

So we were in San Diego for the airshow at Miramar... the weather was absolutely beautiful and it even rained a bit when we first got there! It was pretty great to be able to huddle under an umbrella in 65 degree weather with light cool rain coming down - since we get 1/2 an inch per YEAR in Yuma we appreciate rain when we can find it. The airshow was fun and Mike got a lot of video. Of course my favorite part was eating at new and interesting restaurants... Friday night we ate at Khyber Pass - its an Afghani restaurant and it was really good! Very similar to Indian and Persian food but with a few differences. We had the Aushak for appetizer and I had Chicken Daal for entree. Very tasty! I also tried Afghan Cherry Blossom tea, which was very sweet and spicy and refreshing. Then on Saturday we didn't get out for dinner until late so the Lebanese place we wanted to eat at was closed. We wound up going to Terra Restaurant in Hillcrest, and I had the incredibly delicious 'Duck Confit and Sliced Breast'... and we shared the coolest dessert ever - it was a chocolate pyramid with strawberry basil coulis, creme fraiche and raspberry chocolate pot de creme - I'm drooling just thinking about it! I love going to new restaurants and trying new things.. We really took it for granted when we lived in the big cities but now that we are in Yuma and our options are limited, we really try to branch out when we leave town. And without cable I can't get my fancy food fix from Food Network anymore! Let's see, what else.... oh yeah we took some back roads to get home, and we stopped in this tiny little town at this cool abandoned building to take some artsy pictures. I posted them on my pics page if you're interested - now I need to finish my math homework!

Long time no see!

So the baby ticker says we only have 96 days to go - pretty amazing, huh? We had a checkup yesterday and the doctor says my 'fundal height' (fancy words for 'top of uterus') is measuring 28cm (which means that my belly sticks out that far). The fundal height measurement usually corresponds pretty closely with how far along you are (ie: 28cm = 28 weeks) However, we're only 26 weeks along, so she's measuring 2 weeks big! Of course, those numbers really mean nothing - the doc could have been stretching the measuring tape, or I could have had a big breakfast that morning, or I could have had a little extra belly padding to begin with (me??). But, its fun to speculate about a little overachiever! We listened to her heartbeat again - galloping along loud and strong. And of course she's still kicking and punching her way through the world - she's now discovered the most fun thing to do is to jam her foot up in between my ribs and just wedge it there for a few minutes. Now THAT's not the most fun way to wake up in the morning, let me assure you - it definitely takes your breath away (and hurts like heck)! I have to go in tomorrow for the superfun glucose tolerance test - drink some horrid crappy 'juice' drink, wait an hour, get a blood sugar test. I'm sure it will go fine. Next appointment is November 1st, and then we start going every two weeks! I guess I really need to pick up the pace on buying all the baby junk - I am just not motivated to go look at cribs and changing tables at all! Maybe I'll do it this weekend. I did update her registries though - www.target.com and www.wildflowerdiapers.com - just search for my full name and you'll see all the wonderful junk we need :) Okay, I think I've rambled on enough!

By popular demand

OKAY, against my better judgment I am going to post a belly shot. Here you go...this was taken about 10 minutes ago in my bathroom so forgive the blurriness - everytime I tried to use the flash it reflected off the mirror and disrupted the space-time continuum.

And this is a picture of the belly between 11pm and 2am EVERY NIGHT:

There's a 6:30 in the morning, too??

Man - I slept horribly last night! Our daughter has decided that she is a night owl, and that the best time for an all out internal assault is between 11pm and 2am. So, she kept me up and since Mike had to leave for work this morning at 5:30 (he's qualifying on the gun range today), I relocated to the couch. Then he got up and started getting ready for work at 4:30, so I was awake again. Then he left, and I tried to go back to sleep, but the dogs are so excited that the weather is finally turning nice that they wanted to be all rowdy and play outside. SOOOO...Here I am, posting a blog at 6:30 IN THE MORNING. Barf. Oh well, guess I better get used to the sleepless nights, huh? But, its shaping up to be a good weekend - Mike gets off today at 2(!) and he doesn't have to go back until Monday at 3pm! So its a rare weekend together and we can finally catch up on Netflix and Tivo. (and also work around the house, but that's boring) Anyway, I need to try and get a bit of a nap before I meet Kelley for lunch.

Drum Roll Please..

It's a GIRL!

The doctor is 80% sure that our baby will be wearing pink. Everything looks fine and she's measuring exactly right for her age - a whopping 1 pound, 3 ounces already!

Just checking in

Well, tomorrow's the big day - if the baby cooperates, we'll finally know what color clothes to buy! If not, we'll just have to be surprised in January. I do know that we're cooking up a little athlete in there - he or she is quite an acrobat! It's so cool to be sitting in class and feel little Jr. kicking and wiggling - its a whole lot more interesting than the lecture! The other night Mike was able to feel it too.. I was laying on the couch and he came over and put his hand on my belly and BOOP-BOOP two little kicks in a row! (That's the sound they make in my head.) But, as easy as this pregnancy has been, it's not all wine (or grape juice) and roses... I've only gained 7 lbs but I can really feel it in my feet and legs after I've been standing and walking on the ceramic tile in the house all day! It sucks to wake up in the morning and have your feet STILL hurt from the night before. Of course, I was running around like a madman all day yesterday cleaning house for our Labor Day cookout, so that probably had a bit to do with it. But it was worth it - we had a good time with all our friends. Anyway, just wanted to update real quick for all my stalkers out there (Amber, this means you - and there's no way I'm posting a belly shot on here! I might email you one though.)

Oh yeah - had my first Anat/Phys test today, should get my grade back Thursday. I know I didn't make 100 but I am pretty sure I made an A - keep your fingers crossed, I gotta keep up that 4.0!

Sunday, August 20, 2006

Almost halfway there!

Well, this coming Wednesday makes 20 weeks pregnant - meaning we'll be exactly halfway there! Time flies when you're having fun :) But, I have a feeling time is going to start flying even faster - school starts on Tuesday and with a full load of classes I'm sure January is going to sneak up on me faster than I want it to! Speaking of full loads - I finally got my last textbook, making the total 6 books for 4 classes - and each book is bigger and heavier than the last! I had to break down and get the rolling duffel bag out of the garage because there's no way I can haul all of those books and this belly around all day - and the belly isn't even that big yet. But, the semester ends December 14th, and the baby's due January 10th, so I am sure that the belly will be quite big enough by then! I just hope that the rest of the pregnancy goes as well and as easily as the first half. Anyway, not too much else going on right now.. spending my last few free days napping, swimming, and eating!

Must be a sign..

How appropriate is it that I first felt the baby kick while watching Valley of the Dolls and finishing off a pint of Ben & Jerry's?

PS My little sister graduated from college on Saturday! She's so OLD :)

Ultrasound Day!

Well, today we had an ultrasound to "check cervical length" (but really to try and see the gender) - and wouldn't you know it, our baby is modest! So, we made the best of it and looked at his or her face, and belly, and arms and legs - complete with fingers and toes :) Everything looks fine - in fact, the baby is measuring 18 weeks 3 days (even though I am currently only 17 weeks 5 days) so it looks like we have an overachiever among us! Mike videotaped the appointment, I'm going to try to post it here later today. And we have the 'real' ultrasound to check for measurements and body systems and stuff at our next appointment, so HOPEFULLY we only have to wait 4 more weeks to find out if we're going to be buying dresses or baseball caps!

Wednesday, August 02, 2006

Surprise!

Oh my god! My friends are such nut jobs - yesterday was Mike's day off, so we decided to go out to see Clerks II (highly recommended, by the way). After the movie, we're driving through town looking for a restaurant for dinner - or SO I THOUGHT. Turns out, he drives us over to Chris and JoAnn's house, where a whole bunch of our friends are waiting with a surprise birthday party for me! I was so shocked - I can't believe I had no clue! JoAnn, the original Italian Jersey girl, whipped up a ton of chicken parmesan, salad, and TWO cakes - all of which were freaking delicious...I left her house looking 6 months pregnant at least! We had so much fun, and I just can't believe that I didn't figure it out until we were pulling into their driveway! I love our friends :)

Monday, July 31, 2006

Whew!

Man, what a hectic couple of weeks! I've been on a whirlwind tour of my homeland and I am *extremely* glad to be home. We went to Lubbock to spend time with Mike's family and celebrate my big 3-0 and his mom's big 7-0 all in one fun filled week - plus we took family portraits...I might post a couple of them here. Then I went on to Dallas to spend time with my family and BFF - that was much more relaxing than the week in Lubbock! Got to do a lot of shopping , eating, and collecting of birthday presents, so that was nice...but it's also nice to be back in my own house with my own shower!
We received a few new things for the baby - including some freakin' adorable Texas Tech socks and tiny little shoes, and a little Texas Tech baby cheerleader shirt (hope it's a girl!) Even Pepper got a Tech shirt - I'll have to get a picture of her wearing it and post it up here.
Speaking of the baby - my next appointment is Monday, and the doc hopes to be able to tell what flavor it is already! So, fingers crossed - we could be finding out in just 7 days whether we're having a Monya Jr. or a Mike Jr.! Either one would be fine with me, as long as it's healthy, of course. A boy would be cool & probably easier to deal with, but a girl comes with so many adorable little clothes! We'll see how it goes :)

Saturday, July 08, 2006

Shameless plug...

Okay, so I set up a baby registry at Target.com - and also one at Babiesrus.com.... if you are so inclined, please feel free to add to the little one's stash! Just go to either (or both) of those sites, and search for my full name to see the lists. Also - we're going the cloth diaper route, so we don't need a Diaper Genie or a wipes warmer or anything like that. I'll set up a list at www.wildflowerdiapers.com soon.

PS - My birthday is in 12 days... and it would be just fine with me if I got baby presents instead of grownup presents... (hint hint!) :)

I didn't fall off the planet...

Not much news to report around here - almost 13 weeks along now and starting to show a little bit.. Spending every free minute in the pool (It's 115 degrees here!)

Okay, one bit of news - I quit my job! Yay!! We decided that we are going to do some traveling this summer, and I'm going to school full time in the fall. My last day was Friday so now I'm just barefoot and pregnant at home :) I spend my days eating bon bons and watching Oprah...... yeah right! I've been cleaning like a fiend & trying to get the baby's room organized and get rid of some of the junk in the garage. Speaking of the baby's room - we got our first baby present on Friday! It was a going away present from a friend of mine at work, and it was two adorable little onesies, a cute blanket with ducks on it, and these little socks with stuffed animal head rattles on them - of course all in yellow/green colors, but thats okay :)

Anyway, time to start a new load of laundry - talk to y'all later!

Wednesday, June 07, 2006

9 weeks and counting - new photos!

Well, we went for another appointment and got another picture! This time we saw the baby wiggle, and the umbilical cord, and arms, legs, and head! Baby is measuring 25mm today - thats 625% bigger than it was just 3 weeks ago!! We saw the heartbeat just fluttering away - between 150 and 160bpm. Next appointment is in 4 weeks, but I probably won't get another picture until the one after that. Feast your eyes upon the coolest fetus ever -

Monday, May 22, 2006

Supergenius - with pictures!

Well, grades were released today - 4.0 baby, yeah!!! (Of course it helps that I was taking some pretty easy classes this semester!)

We'll see how I do next semester with the back to back math classes....

Oh yeah - here's a couple random pics...

The Pool -

And the cutest girl at our house - Pepper! (Look at that floppy little ear!!)

Drum Roll Please....

As promised - Baby's first paparazzi photos!

Here we are at 6 weeks old, with a heart rate of 113bpm. Cutest fetus in the world, right? (In case you can't tell, the big round black blob is the sac, and the small white smudgy thing inside it is le bébé.)

Another View: (4 Whole Millimeters - gonna be a football player!)

And finally the heartbeat (it flickers on the video) -

Happy Mother's Day

Well, now that I've "come out" to Mom and Grandma, I guess I can say it here... We're pregnant! We're expecting our first child on January 10th, 2007. We go in for our first ultrasound on Wednesday - I'll try to get pictures and post them here!

Pool

The pool contractors finally finished! Our pool is done and we can't keep the dogs out of it - but it's awesome. I'll post pics soon. Now if only we could get the landscapers to finish, we'd be set!
