Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Guess what! Rory rolled over all by herself today! She was on her back on the floor, chewing on her stuffed cow's foot, rolling around, when all of a sudden she was on her tummy with the cow underneath her - she was quite astonished and more than a little peeved when she couldn't figure out how to get back to where she was. So I helped her roll back over, and we practiced rolling a few more times, but when I grabbed the camera she was through with it for the day. Maybe I'll be able to catch her at it tomorrow.

In other news, I just won a free t-shirt from Technorati via Pissed Off Housewife - a blog I just started reading and am enjoying quite a bit (when I have time to sit at the computer, that is) Thanks, POH!

Happy three month birthday, kiddo!

How time flies

One year ago today, a magical and miraculous chain of events was set in motion. It was Easter day, 2006, and two little cells joined together to create a tiny cluster of cells that would soon develop into a bigger bundle of cells, then a little tadpole, then a little baby! We had been trying for a while, so when it actually worked, we couldn't believe it - hence the eight different pregnancy tests! (And three unauthorized trips to the lab for clandestine blood tests!)

But, here we are a year later and the product of that union is sleeping quietly with her fist in her mouth in the next room, unaware that tomorrow she turns three months old. Time flies so quickly and I'm just trying to remember, photograph, and document every moment because the next time I turn around she'll be leaving for college!

Well, Aunt Doreen and Daria just left, and we had so much fun while they were here!! We toured Yuma and did some shopping, and we did a TON of cooking and eating - and Aurora had a great time being the center of attention! I could talk all about everything we did, but I'm pretty exhausted so here's a bunch of pictures to tell the story for me. 11 Hours!!

I can hardly believe it! She slept from 9 last night till 8 this morning, only waking at 1 and 5 to feed! Of course, that means I got a ton of sleep too, right? Heck no. After feeding her at 1 am and getting her back to sleep, I stayed awake the ENTIRE rest of the night, unable to turn off my brain and go to sleep. Oh well - just means we'll have a really good nap this afternoon!
